Mvstermind

Mvstermind Icy - Alec Wallis

Rising rapper and producer Mvstermind is someone you need to know. Mvstermind's sound is refreshing, unique, and sonically appealing through his cadence all while being lyrically sound. As an artist, Mvstermind is all about being self sufficient, teaching himself how to produce, record, song write, and master starting at the age of 11. Mvstermind has commanded the crowds, touring over 20,000 miles independently with his former collective MME, performing at festivals such as Loufest, A3C, SXSW, and Brooklyn’s MCA Day, as well as opening up for artists such as Travis Scott, Chance the Rapper, G-Eazy, and Curren$y. With the release of Mvstermind's “Mali Moolah” music video debuting next to top charting songs such as Jay-Z's "I Got the Keys" on BET Jams, MTV, and Fuse Fm’s Dope Sh!t Mvstermind began garnering national attention. “Cusp” Mvstermind's first EP reinforced Mvstermind’s self sufficient attitude with the Ep being self produced, mixed, recorded, and mastered all by Mvstermind himself. Sitting at the forefront of Saint Louis's budding music scene, Mvstermind has been propelled by the people to the main stages of Loufest and A3C in 2017 by pure love and support. After taking some time to perfect his craft, Mvstermind is now pushing past the CUSP with his highly anticipated upcoming releases. Consider “Cusp EP” the prelude to Mvstermind’s fully curated artistry. Mvstermind’s new music now delivers his refined sound which he calls “retro futurism Hip Hop”. Expect Mvstermind to take elements from the past, bring them to the present, and confidently transition them into the future by fusing elements of hip hop, soul, electronica, trap and much more to create his very unique sound. With his latest release Minute Plan gaining Mvstermind the title of a TIDAL Rising artist, Mvstermind's career trajectory can only rise from here.

"2016 was the Year of Muhammad Austin in St. Louis. The MC, writer, producer, and scene leader performs in the hip hop group, M.M.E., and solo as Mvstermind. When I first heard “Ain’t No Water in the Water Tower” off Austin’s newest and most stellar release, Cusp, I thought, “This is a real STL rapper.” It’s not my St. Louis story he’s telling, it’s his, and it’s the story of many kids who grew up on the North Side. Passion, talent, and potential are creating the perfect storm within Mvstermind". -- Jess Luther - I Went to a Show

20k Miles oF INDEPENDENT TOURING

In the days of MME, Mvstermind's former team of creatives didn't had a manager, nor a tour manager during their previous tours. Instead, it was just a collective of hard working artists who they took matters in their own hands. From Spring 2015 - Spring 2016 MME worked together and delegated tasks, reaching out to venues, documenting merchandise sales, configuring travel arrangements etc. to ensure the best of travels. MME's nation trekking helped them build a strong support system from their fan base, that in return financially backed the team during their travels all while encompassing over twenty thousand miles of touring in one year.
